HEARSE Complete Work On 'Armageddon Mon Amour'
September 18, 2003Sweden's HEARSE, featuring former ARCH ENEMY/NONEXIST vocalist Johan Liiva and ex-FURBOWL drummer Max Thornell, have completed work on their sophomore full-length album, "Armageddon Mon Amour", due in early 2004 through Holland's Karmageddon Media (formerly Hammerheart Records).
The CD was recorded earlier this summer at Basement Audio System in Stockholm, Sweden with producer Jonas Elder. 13 tracks were laid down during the sessions, of which 10 will end up on the final album and the remaining songs will be used as bonus material. Among the cuts recorded for the effort are "Play Without Rules", "Ticket To Devastation", "Tools", "In Love And War" and "Armageddon Mon Amour".
According to Thornell, the new album will be heavier, rougher, punkier and filthier than this year's "Dominion Reptilian". "But don't worry! No major changes!" he promised. "As usual there will be a lot of heavy riffing and also a bunch of guitar licks & tricks, and of course, another round of ripping solos from guitar maestro Mattias Ljung. There is also vocalist John Liiva's characteristic voice, angrier than ever ending up coughing blood all over the studio floor."
